Dawesville Ridge - Dawesville
Located between the Old Coast Road and the Dawesville By-Pass Road, it contained 372 lots. The major feature of the estate was that it was located in one of the higher points in Dawesville with half the land overlooking the Peel Estuary and the balance with views out to the Indian Ocean. Purchasers who built within two years were provided with a frontyard landscaping package.
Flame Tree Industrial Park – Forrestfield
This was an industrial estate of 33 lots situated on Berkshire Road. It was the first of its type for this location as most surrounding lots were 2-4 hectares in area. The lots ranged in size from 1000m2 to 2000m2 in area with one being 1.7 hectares. The development was created as a garden estate with strict covenants that prohibited industries such as noxious, construction yard, vehicle workers and firewood storage.
Harington Break – Denmark
This estate was a “Special Residential” development containing 55 lots between 4000-6000m2 in area. It was located just off Ocean Beach Road some 4 kilometres from the Denmark townsite and 2 km from picturesque Ocean Beach. Each lot had a designated building envelope that insured the preservation of the natural bush. The land was all north facing containing mature Karri trees, and many of the lots had views over tranquil Wilson’s Inlet. The land had strong appeal to both local and Perth buyers because it provided a protected peaceful bushland setting.
Lakewood Private Estate – Joondalup
A prestigious development of 85 lots many with stunning views over Lake Joondalup. Extensive use of retaining walls, quality fencing and landscaping set this estate apart from others in the locality. Lot sizes ranged 680m2 up to 1000m2.
Noblewood Estate – Mundaring
Situated on the edge of the Mundaring town site in an elevated bushland setting, this estate of 145 lots proved very popular with hills buyers. Each lot was 2000m2 in area and had a specified building envelope and the balance of the site was protected by clearing ban covenant. The development was adjacent to a new Primary School and a bush reserve.
Pepperwood Estate – Lockridge
This was an award winning development – 1999 UDIA Award for Excellence – Urban Renewal. Lockridge was dominated by government rental housing 54% and this figure was reduced over 5 years to 12%. Some 550 refurbished homes and units were sold to the public and in addition 120 lots were created on land where large blocks of flats once stood. HDC were the marketing agents for the project.
Amblefield – Oakford
Readily accessible from the Kwinana Freeway this “Special Rural” estate provided 25 select 2 hectare homesites and hobby farms. It was one of the finest rural estates featuring underground power and each lot was fully fenced with post and rail along the roadways.
Parkerville Private Estate – Parkerville
This select development was created out of remnant farmland and comprised of 42, two hectare parkland cleared lots. An existing development plan was redrawn to provide an enchanting entry via a bridge crossing a permanent creek. Each lot was designed to include some pasture land in a bush setting.
Woodrise Estate - Albany
A prime residential 179 lot development close to the heart of Albany CBD. Woodrise Estate was created in a successful joint venture development between HDC and the Department of Housing.Consisted of fully serviced lots with underground power and landscaping bonuses, plus parklands throughout the estate and a landscaped entry road. Six individual split level townhouses were also constructed on the site.
